BESTAR expands liquid-cooled split DC range to 960 kW
The liquid-cooled split platform now stacks to 960 kW with 600 A cables, aimed at bus depots and highway hubs.
BESTAR has extended its liquid-cooled split DC charging platform to 960 kW. The cabinet continues to be built from modular power stacks, so a site can start at 360 kW and add capacity later without replacing the installation.
Liquid-cooled cables rated to 600 A allow vehicles to reach a high state of charge quickly - the main constraint for bus depots and motorway service areas, where session time determines how many vehicles a site can turn over in a day.
The platform keeps the same dispenser design across the power range, so a layout planned at 360 kW does not need redesigning if the site later moves to 960 kW.

Battery-buffered charging: fast charging on a constrained grid
Integrating a 93 kWh LiFePO4 buffer into an all-in-one DC charger removes the need for a supply upgrade at many sites.
Many sites that want DC fast charging do not have the electrical service to support it. Upgrading a substation is often the single largest line item in a project, and in leased or temporary locations it may not be possible at all.
BESTAR addresses this by integrating a 93 kWh LiFePO4 buffer directly into an all-in-one DC charging station. The battery supplies peak demand so the site import stays within its contracted capacity, and it keeps charging during short grid interruptions.
Because the buffer is part of the charger rather than a separate cabinet, the installation footprint and the number of components on site are both reduced.

TUV, CE, UKCA and FCC certification for the charger range
Portable, AC wallbox and all-in-one DC products hold the certifications required for EU, UK and North American markets.
BESTAR charging products are certified for the markets they are exported to, and certification documentation is issued with each order so it can be filed with the local authority.
The portable Mode 2 chargers and AC wallbox range hold TUV and CE certification for the European Union. UKCA marking covers the United Kingdom market, and FCC certification applies to the connected products sold in North America.
Export customers can request copies of the declarations of conformity and test reports for their specific product and destination market at the quotation stage.

New dust-free workshop line goes into production
An additional dust-free assembly line raises capacity for the DC charging cabinet range and improves incoming inspection.
BESTAR has commissioned an additional dust-free assembly line at its Wuxi facility. The line is used for DC charging cabinets and power module assembly, where contamination control matters for long-term reliability.
The expansion increases throughput on the DC range and shortens lead times on larger orders, while keeping AC wallbox and portable charger assembly on their existing lines.
Incoming inspection of power modules and control boards takes place in the same controlled environment, so quality issues are identified before assembly rather than after.

Wheel-mounted 125 kW / 261 kWh mobile charging station
A towable DC charging station brings high-power charging to sites with no grid connection at all.
BESTAR has released a wheel-mounted mobile charging station combining a 125 kW DC charger with 261 kWh of LiFePO4 storage on a towable chassis.
The unit delivers high-power charging with no fixed grid connection, and can be recharged overnight from an ordinary AC supply between deployments. It is intended for events, construction sites, seasonal demand peaks and fleet emergencies.
The 261 kWh battery covers roughly 30 to 40 full vehicle charges per deployment, and state of charge is monitored from the same back office used for fixed chargers.

OCPP 1.6J as the baseline across the charging range
Every connected BESTAR charger speaks OCPP 1.6J, so a mixed estate can be managed from one back office.
BESTAR ships OCPP 1.6J as the baseline protocol across its connected charging products - portable, AC wallbox, DC and bidirectional. Sites are not locked into a proprietary management platform.
This matters when an estate grows in stages. A site that starts with AC wallboxes and later adds DC chargers, or that already operates chargers from another vendor, can bring everything under a single management platform.
ISO 15118 is supported on the DC range for plug-and-charge and smart charging, and is being extended across the AC range.
