Commercial Parking
Shopping Mall Car Park - 12 x 120 kW DC
12 bays120 kW each36 months
Site background
A regional shopping centre in South East Asia needed destination charging that would keep shoppers on site longer, on a car park supply that had very little spare capacity.
The challenge
The available import at the car park substation was well below what 12 simultaneous 120 kW chargers would draw, and the operator would not fund a substation upgrade.
Solution
- Twelve dual-gun 120 kW all-in-one DC stations, CCS2 and GBT connectors
- Dynamic power allocation capping site import at the contracted level
- Battery-buffered units at four bays to absorb peak demand
- RFID and QR payment integrated with the mall loyalty platform
Implementation
1Site survey and load study
2Phased installation over 6 weeks
3Commissioning and OCPP back-office handover
Outcome
- 12 DC bays operational without a substation upgrade
- Average session 34 minutes, dwell time up 18%
- Site import stayed within the contracted capacity through the first summer peak
Fleet & Depot
Bus Depot - 720 kW Liquid-Cooled Split System
720 kW cabinet6 dispensers24 buses
Site background
A municipal bus operator electrifying 24 e-buses needed overnight charging plus opportunity charging during driver breaks, in a yard with limited space between parked vehicles.
The challenge
Overnight-only AC charging would not cover the daily duty cycle, but there was no room in the yard for a large DC cabinet next to each bay.
Solution
- One 720 kW liquid-cooled power cabinet located at the yard perimeter
- Six dispensers placed between vehicle bays, each with two guns
- Liquid-cooled cables rated to 600 A for high-power daytime top-ups
- Dynamic power allocation prioritising buses with the earliest departure
Implementation
1Duty cycle review with the operator
2Layout design and cable routing plan
3Staged commissioning bay by bay
Outcome
- 24 buses covered by 12 charging points
- Full daily duty cycle met without changing the timetable
- Depot kept its existing electrical service
Hospitality
Resort - 24 x 22 kW AC Wallbox
24 wallboxes22 kW each98% uptime
Site background
A coastal resort wanted to offer guests charging at the villa and main car parks, with billing handled through the hotel management system.
The challenge
Guest vehicles often stay plugged in for many hours, and uncontrolled charging would breach the resort supply limit during the evening peak.
Solution
- Twenty-four three-phase 22 kW AC wallboxes with Type 2 sockets
- Load balancing across each parking group on a shared supply
- RFID authorisation per villa, billing through the hotel PMS
- Scheduled charging so vehicles charge outside the evening peak
Implementation
1Parking group survey
2Load balancing configuration
3PMS billing integration and staff training
Outcome
- 24 wallboxes live across 6 parking groups
- No supply breaches through two peak seasons
- Guest charging became a listed booking amenity
Fleet & Depot
Logistics Fleet - 40 x 22 kW AC + Buffer
40 AC points93 kWh bufferOvernight
Site background
A regional distribution operator electrifying its last-mile van fleet needed overnight charging for 40 vans at a depot whose supply was sized for the previous diesel operation.
The challenge
Charging 40 vans overnight within the existing import required careful scheduling, and the operator wanted room to grow the fleet.
Solution
- Forty 22 kW AC wallboxes split across two depot buildings
- A 93 kWh LiFePO4 buffer to smooth the depot load during the charging window
- Scheduled charging with departure-time prioritisation
- Load management across buildings on a single contracted capacity
Implementation
1Route and duty cycle analysis
2Load study and buffer sizing
3Rollout in three phases alongside the van transition
Outcome
- 40 vans charged overnight on the existing supply
- No change to the contracted capacity
- Depot ready to add 10 further points without a supply change
Fuel & Highway
Highway Service Area - 4 x 360 kW Liquid-Cooled
360 kW8 guns600 A
Site background
A fuel retailer adding EV charging at a motorway service area needed the shortest possible session times to turn bays over at a comparable rate to the fuel pumps.
The challenge
High-power charging was essential, but there was no space for a cabinet beside each bay and the retailer needed to be able to add power later without replacing the hardware.
Solution
- One 360 kW liquid-cooled split cabinet with four 2-gun dispensers
- Liquid-cooled cables rated to 600 A
- Dynamic power allocation across all eight guns
- POS card payment plus RFID and QR option, OCPP back office
Implementation
1Site and supply assessment
2Dispenser layout and canopy works
3Commissioning and payment integration
Outcome
- Eight high-power bays live at the service area
- Session turnover comparable to the fuel forecourt
- Cabinet designed for later expansion to 720 kW
Residential
Residential Development - 180 x 7.4 kW Wallbox
180 homes7.4 kW eachSolar-linked
Site background
A housing developer specifying its first EV-ready estate wanted every home to have a wallbox installed at build stage, plus home energy storage on the larger plots.
The challenge
Individual 7.4 kW wallboxes across 180 homes would collectively demand far more than the estate distribution was designed for, and buyers wanted to charge from their own solar.
Solution
- One 7.4 kW AC wallbox per home, installed during construction
- Estate-wide load management limiting aggregate demand
- Home energy storage on the larger plots with solar-surplus charging
- Single app for the wallbox and home battery
Implementation
1Estate-wide load study with the developer
2Standardised installation design for all house types
3Handover with per-home documentation
Outcome
- 180 homes were EV-ready at handover
- Aggregate estate demand remained within the distribution capacity
- Wallbox and battery controlled from a single app
